It's been a while since I have taken the bus. With my notebook dead for a majority of the day, along with my dead cell phone, I was temporarily liberated from the rest of the technologically advanced world. Yes, I was liberated. And the feeling was great.
I noticed the fellow bus patrons were connected to their MP3 players and cell phones, incessantly clicking away on their pads, etc. I admit my guilt in doing the same, especially when bored. But the action still
puzzles me.
The existence of these devices are to serve as helpful tools. But these tools often pull individuals away from the physical world, only to replace them in an unnatural space.
I enjoyed my freedom today, with the dead notebook and phone. I promise to make a better effort to live in the physical world :]
